РОЛЬ ЖІНОК У ФОРМУВАННІ СТРАТЕГІЇ РОЗВИТКУ STEM-ОСВІТИ В СПОЛУЧЕНИХ ШТАТАХ АМЕРИКИ

У статті проаналізовано внесок жінок у формування стратегії розвитку STEM-освіти в Сполучених Штатах Америки в другій половині XX – 20-тих рр. ХХІ століття в умовах повоєнного відновлення, «Холодної війни» та прискореного зростання цільового економічного ринку США. Надано якісний аналіз проблем, з якими стикаються жінки та дівчата в науці, технологіях, інженерії та математиці (STEM) за наявності дискримінаційного розподілу гендерних ролей у STEM-галузі. Розглянуто професійну діяльність жінок-взірців, їхня самореалізація в STEM-галузі, боротьба за створення умов для досягнення жінками повної рівності з чоловіками в США та в усьому світі. Визначено ключові проблеми та можливості для жінок у STEM-університетському середовищі. Проаналізовано дані Всесвітнього економічного форуму 2017 – 2025 рр., констатовано, що зберігається середній сукупний гендерний розрив понад 30 % в освіті, економіці, охороні здоров’я та політиці. Досліджено індекс глобального гендерного розриву в США та Україні, з’ясовано, що нерівність участі жінок у STEM-освіті та STEM-кар’єрі все ще зберігається в певних науково-освітніх дисциплінах, включаючи математику, фізику, інженерію, інформатику, де жінки складають меншу частину фахівців.
